THE DAY AFTER...

Hello friends, how are you? How did you kicked of the new week? Have you been able to enjoy the summer in your part of the world? I hope you did. My week started with a big smile on my face after the successful Meet the Blogger event in Amsterdam. More than 120 bloggers joined us and we had great fun. We are currently discussing future events in Berlin, Paris, Stockholm or...who knows? As soon as we have more information available we we will inform you!

My week was also special for another reason because I've decided to quit my current job in the corporate world and start my own business as a PR & Social Media Interim Manager. Besides that I will focus on the development of the Meet the Blogger concept and events and bring Urban Style Vibes* to the next level. To me this sounds as an ideal combination. Later this month/year I will share my new challenges along the way. This is also the reason how I came to todays inspiration. I will partly work from home in my new role and it would be great to have my own home office. If you are a frequent reader of my blog you know how much I struggle to get my own office ready. But what about the idea of a real OfficePod. The Officepod is a solo workspace with futuristic design. It can be place in your garden or next to your home, you name it. I think it's a great solution. No travel time, maximum office space and the ability to work in a quiet environment. I would love to pimp this design pod with some lovely decorations.

MEET THE BLOGGER AMSTERDAM MORE PICS AND STORIES

Hello lovely ladies, sorry for the delay in posting but I'm so busy and exited after the first Meet the Blogger event in Amsterdam. I hope you understand. Let me tell you the story behind the first Meet the Blogger event. It all started in January when I posted about my dream here. We envisioned a room full of lovely blogger together sharing ideas from the online world offline. I shared the idea on my blog, Twitter and Facebook. And soon after that I contacted Holly from Decor8   to see if she would be interested to be one of the guest speakers for the event. Soon after that she came back to me that she would love to join the event and wanted to be one of the sponsors and be part of the event team too and Janneke joined us to work on the PR & Communciations for the event. We expected an inspiring event with let's say 25 attendees but when we started to announce the event we knew it could become bigger than that.

We came in contact with all our lovely sponsors: VT Wonen, Flavourites, Kelly Hoppen, Lily's Cupcakes, Hotel V and the American Book Center and thanks to their support this event was free of charge for all the attendees and we also had a lovely goodie bag in place. We had a lot of work in the last few weeks before the event but it outcome is fantastic. We had over 100 bloggers together in Hotel V to join our event and the reactions after the event put a smile on our faces! What an inspiration and energy in one room! I personally love the fact that a small idea can grow easily with the use of social media and the internet and it's great to see how we can support eachother to live our dreams in the online and offline world. Last but not least I would like to thank you all for your endless encouragement and support!!! You made my day!!!

MEET THE BLOGGER AMSTERDAM FIRST IMPRESSION

What a day.....Yesterday I was in Amsterdam for the first Meet the Blogger event in Amsterdam. Thanks to all the lovely speakers and sponsors this event in the lobby of Hotel V in Amsterdam was a great success. We had over 100 enthousiastic bloggers in 1 room!! Here is the first impression. Later this week I will post the whole story about the event but first some pictures to show you how exiting this event was. #MEETTHEBLOGGER HERE I COME!

Hello friends! I'm off to Amsterdam for the first #meettheblogger event. I can't wait to meet you all! The idea for this Meet the Blogger event in Amsterdam started in January 2011 and see where we are now. I joined forces with Holly and Janneke to create a inspiring program for home design and lifestyle bloggers. We have great speakers and sponsors joining us on the event and it's great to see their enthousiasm. The idea behind this event is taking the online world offline. There are so many talented bloggers in Europa and we all meet online but most of us haven't met in the real world. We currently have about 100 bloggers on the attendee list. In the future we are planning to host similar events in differnt parts of Europe because there is a huge demand for sharing online ideas offline.

It's official now: It's summer time! I can't wait to start my long holiday. I will end my job in the corporate world at the end of July. Yay! And then it's time for some summer vibes. Imagine to be on the stunning island of Formentera. Today I love this summer stylish place. The owners renovated this house to make it a relaxed an stylish place. I especially love the wooden ceilings.

Good Morning all! Welcome to the new week. Today I'd like to share some new inspiration with you coming from H&M. As you might know they started with a lovely Homewear collection last year and this seems to evolve to a serious business. And although I'm still in the summer vibes mood these autumn winter 2011 accessories and linen are great to combine and refresh your current style. I personally love the muge cushions and the stylish bathwear.

Hello lovely friends, how is your weekend? Do you enjoy fathers day. Today I'm inspired by the fresh and innovative concept of the french company Bubbletree. Wouldn't it be great to sleep under the stars surrounded by nature?  The Bubble Tree is an innovative idea from the French artist Pierre Stephane Dumas. HAVE A LOVELY WEEKEND!

Hello friends, HAPPY WEEKEND! Oh what a week. I'm so glad we can start the weekend now. I need some time to relax, shop and sleep. In addition I will work together with Holly and Janneke on the last preparations for the Meet the Blogger even in Amsterdam next week. Can you imagine that we have more than 100 home, design and lifestyle bloggers together in 1 room in Amsterdam! I'm so exited about that! What started as an idea in January is now a complete event with lovely speakers and sponsors. I hope it will be a good event for networking, sharing ideas and have some fun.  What about you? Good news today! Urban Style Vibes* BLOG turns 2 today! Exactly 2 years ago I started this blog as an inpsiration outlet. And look at where we are now. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I would love to give you a real cupcake as shown above. You gave me support, inspiration, comments, new friendships, better ideas, creative finds, a Meet the Blogger event in Amsterdam with over 100 home and lifestyle bloggers and so much more. I can't believe Urban Style Vibes* attracks over 30.000 visitors a month and I'm so happy to see my blog evolving to the next level. MEET THE BLOGGER EVENT UPDATE

Hello friends. We are counting down till the first Meet the Blogger event in Amsterdam. In less than 2 weeks we will all meet up @ Hotel V. I can't believe we have over 100 attendees to the event and thanks to our lovely sponsors this event is free of charge. We just closed the registration on Facebook but if you read this for the first time and want to attend a Meet the Blogger event.
