A new collaboration between Apple and Paul Smith has been established now. And look at the result. These exclusive cases offer superior protection and style. The case is accented with Paul Smith’s signature multi stripe design and resembles the trend of classic with a twist. It emanates sophistication while protecting your iPod/ Nano or MaBook from scratches and knocks.

Anti design hotel

I hear you thinking. An anti-design hotel. Is that really of interest? Well, let me take you to Mexico today and show you the lovely Azucar hotel.

This hotel is named for the sugar cane grown in its home state of Veracruz. The Azucar was conceived by hotelier Carlos Couturier, founder of some of Mexico’s hippest resort properties. For the Acuzar he decided on a back-to-basics theme that finds its expression in an airy, breezy feeling.

The hotel’s 20 low-slung bungalows, all in an intense white-on-white colour scheme, inspire visions of loose cotton clothing, sandals and the easiest of schedules.

You can easily book this lovely spot via Design Hotels. And please do not forget to take part in their lovely advent calendar competition.

(Lemon &) Limes

Hi blog friends! How are you today?? Are you ready to celebrate the weekend? It has been raining since the beginning of last week here in Holland and it seems that it won't stop soon. Time to cocoon at home. Today I found the lovely Limes Hotel in Brisbane, Australia for you.

Situated just northeast of the city centre, Fortitude Valley is the hub of Brisbane’s nightlife, known for its trendy and exciting bars, cafes and clubs. And with its modern aesthetic, hip interiors, fashionable bar and in-house designer cinema, the Limes Hotel fits right into this happening neighbourhood. Inspired by The Valley’s distinct character, award-winning local designer Alexander Lotersztain concentrated his artistic focus on the hotel’s essential elements, creating a modern yet warm atmosphere unencumbered by excessive ornamentation – understated, yet buzzing with contemporary energy. The result is a stunning but simple urban retreat complete with rooftop lounge bar and rooftop movie theatre.

If you want to have more information about this hotel. Please check it out at Design Hotels You can even book here. They have good rates and special offers in December.

I love this creative kitchen. Stylish with a touch of the colourful Finish brand Marimekko. Sorry can't remember the source. Can anybody help me out? Where is this lovely kitchen? I guess it must be somewhere in Scandinavia.

More X-Mas inspiration

Hi lovely bloggers! Today I would like to take you to London for a little while. There’s no time like Christmas for a little togetherness, and this season two of Britain’s best loved institutions - namely Mayfair’s Claridge’s hotel in London and the impossibly talented Creative Director of Dior, John Galliano - have joined forces to sprinkle a little eccentric festive sparkle upon the capital of the UK.

Unveiled yesterday, this Claridge's tree may have taken residence a little early by most yuletide standards, but then there’s little traditional about John Galliano’s creation. Inspired by Claridge’s art deco surrounds, the contorted bonsai-inspired limbs, glistening blue tinged leaves and papier-mache snow leopard prowling the branches result in an unexpectedly festive effect.
