TODAYI WANT TO BE IN...SWEDEN (VIA URBAN STYLE VIBES*)

Hello friends! How are you? How is your weekend? It's pretty cold here in Holland but the sun is shining. A perfect winter day I must admit! Today I had lunch in a wonderful place here in the city of Rotterdam and now just before we will have diner I'd love to treat you with some new Swedish inspiration. People ask me a lot where I find all the inspiration for Urban Style Vibes* blog. My answer to that question is: Inspiration is everywhere. The only thing you need is an open mind. Sometimes when I'm tired or feeling down it's difficult to find inspiration but most of the days there is so much to find on the street, in magazines at home or on the internet via websites, Pinterest or other blogs. I love to read a lot so it's not that difficult for me to come across good and new stuff. Today I was 'hunting' for houses for sale in Sweden and if I do that I usually check the wonderful Skeppsholmen website. This real estate agent has a lot of gorgeous homes for sale in Sweden. Don't get me wrong: I'm not planning to leave the country but it's always a treat to look into some beautiful homes abroad. Don't you think? This apartment is located in the city of Stockholm. I love the use of color combined with the white walls and wooden floors. It inspires me as well to do more with color in my own home. What do you think about this place?

Thank God it's Friday!!! Oh what a week. I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the weekend. I need to take some rest I guess but before I do so I'd love to share this stunning villa with you. Today I want to be in Norway with you. This villa was designed  Tommie Wilhelmsen and is located in Rennesøy, Norway. Q. WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS PLACE?

Good Morning! Welcome to the new week. What are your plans? I have a busy schedule ahead but I love it! Today I'd love to travel to New York City with you. If you are a frequent reader of my blog you know how much I love this vibrant city. So much to discover, so little time. Browsing the internet I came across this lovely Nu Hotel in Brooklyn. 'Nu' means 'now' in Dutch but I'm not sure if that is what it's meant to be;-) Anyway I love this clean and comfortable place with lovely industrial details and a fresh and contemporary look.

Good morning friends! An early bird catches the worm. I woke up early today so I have some extra time to share new hotspots with you. Today I want to take you to New York City. It's one of my favourite hotspots in the world and I prefer to go back every year if possible. This year I'm planning a visit in May for Blogfest 2012 In my search for a unique place to stay I came across this unique designer apartment via airbnb. It's a wonderful source of unique places across the globe where you can stay in someone elses house or apartment. I especially like the idea to meet new people and get to know the destination more personal via this lovely portal. I'm also thinking about the possibility to offer my own apartment on this site one day.

TODAY I WANT TO BE IN..BRASIL (VIA URBAN STYLE VIBES*)

Hello friends, are you already back to normal life after the festive 'season'? I've already started 2012 again and I have so much to share with you. Today I'd love to take you to a lovely Unesco heritage village in Brasil: Paraty. It's a lovely place to visit. I went there a few years ago and want to go back as soon as possible. Today I'm daydreaming about this lovely place from architect Marcio Kogan. This house made out of concrete is a true blast! The residents arrive by boat. After stepping out onto the sand a metalic bridge positioned over a crystal-lined reflecting pool leas to a set of stairs connecting to the lower floor.

TODAY I WANT TO BE IN...SHANGHAI (VIA URBAN STYLE VIBES*)

Good Morning friends. Today we go on a trip to Shanghai. I've never been to this place but if I look at those stunning pictures I think I will plan a trip soon! This is the former Palace Hotel facing Shanghai's waterfront. It's one of the oldest hotels and the Swatch Group recently restored it. And this is the result. I love the clean but cosy athmosphere. What do you think? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
