SNEAK PREVIEW: IKEA X-MAS COLLECTION

Good Morning friends! How are you? Do you realize that it's X-Mas in 2 months from now? It's amazing how time flies. While searching for new inspiration for the blog I stumbled upon these cute X-Mas items from IKEA. I guess red is their favourite color this season. I haven't spotted any trends yet but I'm sure there will be loads to talk about in the next few weeks. I just love this simple red X-Mas tree from IKEA as shown above. Can't wait to start collecting some new items this year.

Almost X-Mas

Hi! How are you today? Are you ready for a lovely Christmas! I think I am. Tonight we will go to church here in Rotterdam and tomorrow we will have our family over for diner. On Sunday we travel to the lovely city of Maastricht to spend a few days. We have booked a new, trendy hotel: Hotel Cabane. This hotel is located in the heart of the city so we will have plenty of time to discover the city and do som after X-Mas shopping. In addition they offer a lovely Mojito bar:-)

If you have any tips for good restaurants and design urban style, design tips please leave me a comment below. I really appreciate your ideas!!

X-Mas inspiration part 4: Victor & Rolf

Happy weekend lovely readers! What are you up to this weekend? I have a busy weekend! Today I went out shopping with my friend Claire in The Hague. We had lunch in the lovely Deluca bar and after that we did some X-Mas shopping. Tonight we'll have a pre-X-Mas party with our friends. But before I leave you for the rest of the weekend I would like to share some lovely decoration ideas that I came across today: Dutch designers duo Victor & Rolf created a X-Mas collection for the Dutch department store de Bijenkorf. This lovely collection in black and white is inspired by fairytales. I just bought some of the decoration items. They are so lovely! What do you think?

More X-Mas inspiration

Hi lovely bloggers! Today I would like to take you to London for a little while. There’s no time like Christmas for a little togetherness, and this season two of Britain’s best loved institutions - namely Mayfair’s Claridge’s hotel in London and the impossibly talented Creative Director of Dior, John Galliano - have joined forces to sprinkle a little eccentric festive sparkle upon the capital of the UK.

Unveiled yesterday, this Claridge's tree may have taken residence a little early by most yuletide standards, but then there’s little traditional about John Galliano’s creation. Inspired by Claridge’s art deco surrounds, the contorted bonsai-inspired limbs, glistening blue tinged leaves and papier-mache snow leopard prowling the branches result in an unexpectedly festive effect.
