FLOATING DINER

Today I'm inspired by this floating dining room in the city of Vancouver. This green dining room floats thanks to 1672 2 liter plastic bottles which can be viewed on the bottom of the floor. With this elegant dining room the initiators want to increase awareness about the prevalence of plastic in our oceans. What a great idea!!

Q. What do you think of this initiative? And do you have similar initiatives in your country?

Italian beauty in white

Have you been in Rome lately? I haven't been there for a few years now but it is on my wishlist again!! Look at this beautiful restaurant TUNA in Italy's capital city. This clean and white interior leave enough room to serve some lovely Italian seafood. And as the name suggests they serve a perfect tuna plate.

Le Pain Quotidien

The wonderful Belgian chain of bakeries, Le Pain Quotidien (Our Daily Bread) is a well known spot for breakfast or lunch. It's a good bet for creative sandwiches made on fresh bread, and a wide range of delectable sweets. I love the communal table and everything is organic there. The chain now has more than 80 stores in 12 countries and it is still growing. There are similarly popular Le Pain Quotidiens in a number of cities, including Antwerp, Brussels, New York, Paris, London, and Holywood. I'm hoping for such a great concept in Rotterdam soon! Go check it out. You won't be disappointed!
