Molori Safari Lodge

Today I came across another dream destination: The Molori Safari Lodge in South Africa. The word 'Molori' means 'to dream' and it truly captures the essence of the Molori Safari Lodge. This five-star suite retreat was opened for the public in 2007 and after a complete make over it transformed into the intimate local-chic lodge as it is today.

Delicious prints

Schumacher Modern introducedfor spring a dramatic new prints collection by L.A. fashion designer Trina Turk, known for her sportswear and swim collections. The casually sophisticated indoor/outdoor printed fabrics feature signature patterns adapted from Trina Turk’s stunning apparel and inspired by the architecture, landscape and lifestyle of Southern California.
The Trina Turk Collection features a monochromatic Bamboo Forest Print, a coastal Pisces Print, and an animal skin-inspired Zebra Print, which all reflect Trina Turk’s modern interpretations of nature. Using bright, breezy colorways–predominately blues, citrus shades, and earth tones–the spring collection reflects California living.

Summer inspiration

With even a small balcony or terace you can easily create a real summer athmosphere. I love the natural images below. I especially love the relaxing summer bed covered with the white shades.

Rotterdam

I recently moved from The Hague to Rotterdam. And I must say it is a great city to live in. It's vibrant, modern and it has a multiculti athmosphere. Some people even call it: 'Manhattan aan de Maas' due to the recent development of the many skyscrapers in the city. The building above will be realised by 2012. It is called: De Rotterdam. Rem Koolhaas is the famous Dutch architect who designed this vertical building (live, work, recreate in one building).

La Mamounia

La Mamounia, the five-star hotel in Marrakech that has played host to royalty and celebrities, is reopening on 29 September 2009 following a three-year restoration project led by Jacques Garcia. The hotel - a tranquil haven in the heart of Marrakech - now has 136 rooms, 71 suites, and three Riads with three bedrooms each, private terraces and private swimming pools. Images of the renovated retreat will follow in August.

Dream Destination: Seychelles

You’re planning a trip to the Seychelles? Lucky you! Mother Nature was very generous with these 115 islands scattered in the Indian Ocean and has spoiled them rotten. Undeniably, the beaches are the big attraction, and what beaches: exquisite ribbons of white sand lapped by topaz waters and backed by lush hills and big glacis boulders. And nary a crowd in sight.

But do you know you can also do some great voluntary work on the Seychelles? A recent documentary showed me this organization. The largest turtles ( remaining in the Western Indian Ocean) occurs in Seychelles. Nature Seychelles is responsible for the turtle monitoring during the nesting season. Records of dates and locations are kept as nesting beaches are patrolled several times a day during daylight. Isn't this a great job after (or even before) your retirement?
