Vipp Yellow Cab Style

Danish brand Vipp, the premium accessory brand responsible for transforming the look of your bathroom and kitchen, now welcomes another collection called the Yellow Cab which forms the newest member of the elegant Vipp Universe. The 2009 Limited Edition Vipp Yellow Cab derives its name from the random 13,000 Yellow Cabs buzzing on the lively streets of New York City. This is the first time Vipp is launching a showroom outside Denmark, in New York City, which is a milestone in the 70 year history of Vipp. Vipp’s Yellow cab takes a chic and alluring spring color, which is unlike Vipp’s usually minimalistic choice of colors. I personally fell in love with their soap dispenser so I will head for Copenhagen today and get mine (in white of course!)

Danish inspiration

Hej Hej! I´m in Copenhagen now and I just wanted to say hello (in Danish). The weather is beautiful and today I will do some shopping in Lyngby. I already found some great inspiration. Monday inspiration!

Hi there? How are you? Ready for the next week? I'm off to Copenhagen so I won't have many times to post the next days. However I won't leave you without some inspiration for this week:

Ten years ago, Eric Rasmussen, a stage actor who lives in the West Village, inherited a ranch house in Sag Harbor, N.Y., on the South Fork of Long Island. He sold the house and most of the land, keeping for himself a 61-by-230-foot slice facing the water on which he built a second home, left, tucked away behind a 10-foot wall. Happy Weekend!

Hi lovely readers! How are you today? I wish you a wonderful weekend. I am already quiet busy since we will celebrate my grandma's 83rd birthday today with the whole family and I'm cooking pancakes and soup for this event.
This morning I came across this stunning renovated farmhouse in Sweden.Skånegården is situated 800 metres on from the Öresund Bridge toll. This beautiful farmhous was recently renovated. I love the gorgeous loft atmosphere! What do you think?

NEW: Zara Home Country Trend

Zara Home has just launched it's new Autumn/Winter '09/'10 collection. They define the new trends in 4 categories. Click here to see all the trends. One more ‘longterm trend’ is that of the ‘Farm of the Future’. This country trend is about the idea of living on a highly modern farm and producing everything we need ourselves - or at least the dream and look of that. Less is more here, it is kind of a ‘warm minimalism’. Wood and natural wood tones are the most important material in this minimalist and streamlined story . Not too smooth or too textured, neither incognito nor show-off, neither calm nor brash, neither classical nor extravagant – the home is becoming magnetic, sensual and charismatic thanks to a palette of neutral colours with far from anonymous effects.

Fabrics are pure and functional with attention to detail, organic influences and always in refined natural qualities. Patchworks make use of the colours that fade one into another and objects play together in groups. Knits are important. Silver objects are decorated with ornate patterns punched–out in delicate pin-holes. Tableware is simple with white wash glazes in organic and unassuming forms. The range of subtle hues are used to dress the table with each plate in a different colour etc. Also: Plastic that looks like wood and clay that looks like textile for example! Using high-tech materials to get the look, with a surprise to the touch.

Beautiful Home in Stockholm

Only 64m2 but beautiful. This is an awesome apartment in Stockholm. I especialy love the combination of the 'dark'wooden floor and the white furniture. I was lucky to find this via Skona Hem.
