A touch of green

It's June now and nature is just awesome here in Holland, the fresh green leaves inspired me today. Adding a touch of green to your interior or even your garden makes me feel attached to nature. Barcelona on a budget

Today it's time for a trip to Barcelona. Barcelona is one of my favourite cities in the world. Do you know why? Barcelona has the perfect mix: a metropole with a touch of sea, culture and a lot of Spanish vibes. And by the way Barcelona has some great design hotels under EUR 100. Hello Yellow

Today I'm inspired by the color yellow! So fresh, it feels like summer already:-)

Traditionally worn by Village Chiefs in the Cameroon region of central Africa, Juju hats (image above) have since gained popularity with interior designers, and are often used as an eye-catching accessory for the home. Beautiful bird feathers are painstakingly hand sewn onto a raffia fiber base/basket that splays out into a huge circle. Feathers are considered rare objects of beauty and a symbol of prosperity and wealth associated with the positive qualities of birds. When not in use, the Juju hat can be neatly folded in on itself for easy storage (as shown). A perfect example of fine, unique and skillful weaving from Central West Africa, Juju hats are available via the lovely webshop from blogger and entrepreneur Louise form Table Tonic. She even sells lovely morrocan pouffs and bedspreads to name a few.

Flower fields

My lovelies,  how are you today? Ready for a new week? How was your weekend? We went out to see a new baby girl from one of our friends and guess what we saw along the motorway, tulips from Holland!

Party preparations

My lovelies, do you enjoy your weekend? I certainly do. Today I will start the preparations for our Bubbles and Bites party which is planned on June 19, 2010. 

Here are my ideas so far:

1. Prepare a lovely dining table that rocks! In my search for some inspiration I found this lovely image @ Amy Atlas' blog I love the idea of 4 big baloons above the dining table. 

Q. Can I order these baloons somewhere online? 

2. Order some lovely fingerfood at our local restaurant. Last year we had a party and I was preparing food and drinks all night long. This year I want to enjoy the party myself so I think it is a good idea to order the food instead.

3. Decorate the entrance, living and balcony with some baloons and flags.

4. Order some good bottles of Bubbles:-)

Travel addict

My dears! How are you today? Are you in for the next trip with Urban Style Vibes* I must admit i came home from my wonderful trip to the Far east last weekend and guess I'm already hungry for my next trip.  Yes I guess I am a travel addict;-) Is there any medicine for this addiction. Yes, I guess so! Browsing the internet gives me a lot of inspiration where to go. Today we go on a trip to Mexico. This lovely hotel @ Los Cabos (image above) Mexico is a real treat for the eye.

Time for new bed linen?

It's almost summer now here in Holland and that makes me happy! The days are longer and the temperature is rising. This time of the year is the best one if you ask me;-) The fresh and green nature also inspires me to clean and refresh my home. Today I'm loving the new collection bed linen from Zara Home. But now they have created such a fresh collection that it is hard to choose for me which one to order?

The quality of Zara Home bed linen is very good. I have a few of these sets. I washed them many times but they are still good.

IKEA: I'm Smitten

Via the lovely blog Space for Inspiration I fell in love with the new IKEA initiative. This Swedish website gives a lot of lovely party inpsiration. And that is just what I need since we are planning a 'Bubbles & Bites Party' mid June. What a lovely inspiration! Thanks for sharing Charlotta!
