Good news! My friends from Denmark just announced that a new baby is born in Copenhagen. It's a boy: Jens! I'm so happy that I just wanted to share this lovely image from the South African Naartjie brand with you. What a cutie!

Spring is (almost) in the air!

Spring is getting nearer and Tine K. is presenting her new collection to retailers this week. Her beautiful spring collection with crispy silks and gorgeous linen is combined with delicate cottons in floral patterns. Sophisticated metallic balances the organic neutrals inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the natural straw found in the palm fields of Morocco. I'm so curious to see more of her collection. Black or white?

In my last post I asked for your help regarding the new colour of my bedroom wall(s). I'm still in doubt. If I look at the beautiful images of white bedrooms I'm still not sure if black is the right colour to paint my bedroom. Maybe I'm just affraid to do so;-) What would you suggest?

Paint it black?

Hi sweeties, I need your help today! I'm thinking about a new colour for my bedroom wall and I am thinking about black or dark gray. This can be a good color contrast with our white shutters. I found some lovely images of subtile black walls. What  would you suggest?

Happy Monday

Good Morning Sweethearts! How are you today? Did you enjoy the weekend. I had a wonderful celebration weekend. Yesterdays family party was great fun! I will share some images with you later this week. The image above is the lovely home Malene Birger. She is a Danish fashion designer of different Danish brands and actually I love them all. To name a few: Designers Remix and DAY.

I just love the colours of this apartment. It gives a serene but warm athmosphere. And have you seen all the lovely frames she has used to decorate her bedroom and livingroom?  What do you think of this idea?

Have a fabulous weekend!

My lovely bloggers. What are your plans for the weekend? My fiance and I have a celebration for his birthday this weekend. Last night we went out for diner at Ivy. This is one of the latest hotspots here in Rotterdam. The modern interior is just the starting point. We decided to take the five course menu. In addition we gave the sommelier a free hand and asked him to sample the wines with the multiple courses. What an experience I must admit! Recently Ivy acquired a Michelin Star rating and chef Francois Geurds was given the Promise of the Year 2010 award by Gault Milau.  So we are quiet curious what kind of experience we can expect. And today we celebrate a party with the whole family. So I need to get prepared! Talk to you tomorrow!

Moomah NYC

A lovely new cafe in the Soho area in New York has arised: Moomah is an arty cafe with a creative mind for adults and their children.They state on their website it is, "A place of sweet whimsy, wonder and warmth, Moomah is a creative playscape, a cozy cafe, a living classroom, a quiet hideaway, an art oasis, your neighborhood meeting spot. Your favorite place to be together, and a place for your child to simply be." Brilliant, don't you think? Wow -- I wish more places like this existed!

Wallpaper 2.0

A new approach to traditional wallpaper is this idea of the new Swedish brand 'Off the Wall'. This is a 2 in one solution to decorate your room and create some storage room for your books.

Off the Wall is a 3-dimensional wallpaper. The concept consists of two elements - wallpaper and 3-dimensional shapes of acrylic sheets forming shelves and lamp shades. The 3-dimensional shape is maintained over the wallpaper and set against the wall with the same wallpaper. The result is that the wallpaper seems to come alive, bulges and rolls up, and forms to shelves and lamp shades.
The shelves are sold together with specially designed wallpapers with exciting designs. The wallpaper is printed on demand by Your Wallpaper. The entire collection will be presented here at the launch in January 2010.

Casa son Vida

One of the latest projects of Dutch designers Marcel Wanders is Casa Son Vida. This villa is located on the island of Mallorca. This old building is recently renovated by T.. Architects. Marcel Wanders created an interior with contrasts. I posted earlier on other Marcel Wanders creatures. Click here to read more.
