YOUR WEEKEND....(VIA URBAN STYLE VIBES*)

Hi friends, what are your plans for the weekend? My weekend is full with pre-X-Mas parties and drinks.  Yes, it's that time of the year.... Can you imagine we almost finished 2010? Was this year a good one FOR YOU? And what do you expect from 2011?

Q. PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS!
Today I take you on a home tour to Brasil. This is the 'Sumar House' designed by architect Isay Weinfeld for a graphic desinger in Sao Paulo. He wanted to have a big house where he could work, train and welcome friends.

In order to find accomodation for an exercise room for dance, as well as a large area for entertaining, two bedrooms and all other necessary rooms below street level.

PHILIP STARCK DESIGN HOTEL BUENOS AIRES

One of my favourite cities in the world in Buenos Aires. This sexy, Latino city with a European twist is unforgettable! This city is all you need for a short break. The shopping ranges from designer labels to street hawkers, and nightlife will keep you swinging all night long. Don’t miss attending a superpassionate fútbol (soccer) game, snatching a quick tango lesson or downing a juicy steak.
A visit to the Philip Starck hotel: Faena Universa is a must! If you can afford it, please stay for the night, if your budget is limited a night at the pool will be a great option too.

NATURAL HOME

HAPPY WEEKEND MY FRIENDS! What are your plans? I hope it will be a good one.  Today I'd love to share another stylish winter home with you. I found this link via Desire to Inspire. This home in Finland  is the home of a family of 5 where the mother creates beautiful knit objects and the father is a carpenter. I LOVE thisnatural, neutral and handmade vibe of this home. And look at the fabulous knitwear. Just Awesome!

STYLISH SWEDISIH WINTER HOME

Today I'd love to share a stylish winter home with you. I must admit I fell in love with this 19th century home that I found here on the lovely blog of Charlotta Ward. In 2003 Swedish architect Alf Olsen reconstructed to this stunning building. And if you take a closer look you see the subtle Christmas inspiration.

ADVENT CALENDAR #4

Are you ready for some fresh pre-X-Mas inspiration. Here you go! Today I'd love to share the image of  these lovely candles with you that I found on Gosto Design, a lovely new design shop in Blaricum Holland. These candles are from Dutch designers Ontwerpduo. Some products always need eachother. They belong together like a hammer and nail, bed and blanket, cup and saucer. By melting them together in one material, their relationship is clear. All tallow.

HAPPY MONDAY!!!

Happy Monday sweethearts, how are you? Did you enjoy the weekend? We had a wonderful pre-chirstmas diner with our friends on Friday and on Saturday I did some shopping. It's pretty cold here in Holland and we had loads of snow. This was the view from our apartment last weekend. So beautiful! On Sunday I put up our little Christmast tree and decorated the house with some Christmas items.

ADVENT CALENDAR #3

Hi friends! How are you today. Did you already bought your X-Mas cards? I hope not. It's so easy to create simple, stylish cards that are very personal too. I found these letter stamp cards at Trendenser the lovely blog of Frida Berglund. The idea is pretty easy and you can variate in text and colors according to your own taste. I love this idea. What about you?

Q. Do you know a good website where I can buy these wooden letter stamps?

ADVENT CALENDER #2

Did you already buy your X-Mas tree? No? This might be a good idea for you. This tree was created by  designer Jane Schouten. She has a lovely webshop here. Create a tree on your wall. It has many advantages, you know: no needles,  no transportation, no worries.

ADVENT CALENDAR #1

Hi friends, how are you? When I saw the calendar today I noticed that it's already December 1, 2010. Let's count down to Christmas. OMG it's only 23 days, 10 hours and 40 minutes. Did you already buy your presents, planned your X-mas diner and bought your new glitter and glamour outfit? In the next weeks I will try to inspire you with some pre-X-Mas inpspiration with this virtual Advent Calendar.Advent calendars are used to count or celebrate the days of Advent in anticipation of Christmas. Some calendars are strickly relegious but I will show you the Urban Style Vibes* way of celebrating X-Mas.

Todays inspiration comes from the Dutch magazine VT Wonen
To decorate your X-Mas table, combine different white cups and plates on your table. As long as you keep it in white with a little touch of color this will be a very special table. Not too chic but stylish anyway.

Q. HOW DO YOU DECORATE YOUR X-MAS TABLE? I'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR THOUGHTS!
