Urban Style Vibes* on vacation!

Urban Style Vibes* will be travelling until 26 May....We will visit 2 destinations: Tokyo and Kyoto in Japan and the island of Guam in Micronesia. We will be staying in Yokohama, the Pan Pacific Hotel and in the Hyatt Regency Guam. I'm so ready for take off! The last months have been soooo busy and I feel I'm really tired. While I'm on holiday  I will treat you with lovely guestposts. I have asked my blogger friends from Sydney, Stockholm and the UK to update you on travel style and design next week. And in the meantime lovely Kelly from Fabulous K will start the redesign of Urban Style Vibes* I'm looking forward to a lovely new design of Urban Style Vibes*

The Ikea phenomenon

The Vienna Furniture Museum  is exhibiting the IKEA Phenomenon this Spring. This exhibition is presenting the famous designs such as Billy and Ivar in the context of the history of design. A separate selection is devoted to the IKEA Hacks.

Today we have a public holliday here in Holland because we celebrate the end of the second world war. I will go to the beach with my man this afternoon. I really need a touch with nature today. I live in a big city but once in a while I feel the urge to go out in nature. To inspire you I have collected a lovely Eco home for you.

Bookshelves 4 or 5?

My sweet readers! How are you? How was your weekend? We did a restyling this weekend. As I told you in one of my earlier posts here and here we urgently needed some new bookshelves. Watch this! I'm so proud. It gives our living a personal touch! However I still have one questions. What would you do 4 or 5 shelves? We have room at the top for 1 extra shelve. Would you consider to add one?

Queens Day Fever

If you ever have the chance to visit Amsterdam on the 30th of April, you will be surpised of the craziness in town. It's Queens Day tomorrow here in Holland and we are a crazy nation. We all dress up with a touch (or completely) Orange (which is the national color) and we celebrate a good night and day. The famous canals of Amsterdam are full of boats with party people as you can see;-)

Garden to Go

My lovely readers, did you had a good weekend? Today I have my regular day off and I'm planning to work on my balcony since I have 'balcony fever'. This means that I want to have my balcony ready for the summer as soon as possible. Do you know this feeling??

Maybe I will end up with a balcony like this. I love the Bacsac concept and the good news is that they sell them in my hometown now!! This afternoon I will take my bike and see what it's all about!

And when we decide to move, we can easily take our garder with us. What a wonderful idea!
