MEET THE BLOGGER EVENT UPDATE

My dear friends. It's time for a 'Meet the Blogger' Amsterdam event update. First of all I would like to thank you for all your lovely e-mails, tweets and other messages. It seems that you all like the idea of a 'get together' meeting. It's so funny to see that we have daily contacts in the virtual world but we've never been able to meet eachother. Last week Holly Becker from Decor8 and I have been busy to finalize the program and hunt for a good location in the center Amsterdam to host the event and I think we will be able announce the location by the end of March (I'm so exited!).

In addition we found a lovely new sponsor in VT Wonen who will be an official partner of the event. We are very proud to have them on board!

PS. Thanks to our lovely sponsors we can announce now that there will be NO registration fee for the event. LET'S GO SHOPPING: GOSTO DESIGN

Happy Monday friends! How are you today? I have so much energy after my morning at the beach. I had a meeting in Noordwijk (at the beach) and decided to enjoy the morning sun and sea. Today it feels like spring in Holland and sorry to bother you with my stories about spring but I simply can't get enough of it. It's time to go out and shop a bit. Are you in for a trip?? I'd like to take Blaricum in Holland. This is Gosto Design (Gosto=I love in Portugese) the lovely (web)shop from Sonia van der Zwaan. She sells lovely home design items at her shop and for those who are not based in Holland. Lucky you she also runs a webshop:-)

TODAY I WANT TO BE IN...PORTUGAL (VIA URBAN STYLE VIBES*)

This weekend I was searching for a summer holiday destination and as me and Mr love Portugal we might try Casa Na Areia this summer. It's a great place on the coast about 1 hour from Lisbon. And look at that sand around the houses. Wouldn't it be great to wake up with the sun like this? Unfortunately this casa can only be rented as a whole. 4 casas for 8 persons. But this summer we will only go with the two of us.

WELCOME SPRING!

Happy weekend friends! Isn't it a lovely idea that spring is just around the corner. This week the weather in Holland showed us the first signs of spring. I saw some daffodils and crocusses in the field and last but not least I saw the sun together with a blue sky:-) I'm so ready to start with spring. Spring is in the air (or at least in my head...) I hope you are in the same mood. Today I'd like to share some lovely images that I found on the lovely IKEA inspiration blog LivEt Hemma (=Life at Home). Flowers are a great way to bring the first signs of spring in your home.

MY SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT WORLD MAP

Today I'm lovin' this canvas wordmap from Notemaker. As I told you a while ago I'm planning to redecorate my small home office.  One of the ideas that I would like to see in my new home office is a spectacular world map. I also shared my idea with you to create a wallpaper wordmap in one of my earlier posts. The map shown in this post is a giant sized Pacific Centred Telegram World Physical Wall Map is a highly detailed beautiful contemporary map of the world.It combines a blend of earthy tones and shaded relief with up-to-date and highly detailed political information making the map perfect for interior decorating.

Q. Do you have any other recommendations where to find the best world map for my home office? 

DIY: TRAVEL MEMORIES

Maps are wonderful! This is a new idea from one of my favourite designers from California: Erin Vale Design. She designed this map as a memory of her trips. I'm off to the Caribbean soon so I hope to see that one back soon in her collection. Thanks Erin for these wonderful DYI ideas.

MEET THE BLOGGER EVENT UPDATE

Good morning friends! How are you today? I promised you to give an update about the 'Meet the Blogger' Amsterdam event. As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, the reactions for the event are overwhealming. I had many e-mails, comments and post via Facebook and Twitter and I hope the event will be interesting for all the bloggers and bloggers to be. The program will be presented in March but today I'd love to share some highlights of it with you:

Holly Becker from Decor8 will be speaking at the event. In addition she will present her book Decorate to the Dutch media. She will do a signing session afterwards and you will be able to buy her book during the event.

Marije and Natasha from Flavourites will be our second guest speakers during the event. They run a lovely website and they will share their experience with blogging and webshops with us. In addition they will create a lovely goodie bag for all the attendees:-))

And then last but not least we will have Angelie and Cecile from Lily's cupcakes. This wonderful Dutch company started a successful cupcake business. They do use a lot of social media to promote the business. And yes, they will bring some cupcakes to the event so you can try and test it yourself.

TODAY I WANT TO BE IN...LAOS (URBAN STYLE VIBES*)

If you are a frequent reader of Urban Style Vibes* you know how much I love to travel to the most beautiful places on earth. Today I'd love to fly to the Alila Luang Prabang hotel in Laos. MY BEDROOM MAKE-OVER

Hello everyone, happy weekend! Excuse me for my absence this week. My life has been busy, hectic in the past couple of days but I'm glad to be back here because I have a lot of news to share with you. Tomorrow I will give you an update about the 'Meet the Blogger' event. Today I'd love to share my recent bedroom make-over with you. Last week I told you that I've won the wonderful the Yumeko Bedlinnen set. I shared the first images with you. And now I'm proud to show you how it looks like in my own bedroom. I love the clean white sheets. The cushions are from the new H&M Home collection. I think they add a great touch of marine-look to the room. The side lamps are from IKEA. It's great to see that with little changes, and a limited budget you can create a new atmosphere in your bedroom. It feels so fresh and brand new.

A TOUCH OF YELLOW

Spring is in the air in Holland. Today the sun is out already and although the temperature is still low I feel spring is just around the corner. I'm inspired by this yellow-touch interiors. I found some lovely inspiration on Fabulous K from Kelly. Yellow can be an extra colour to give the interior a fresh touch. Combined with white and some gray/oyster tones makes it complete. What do you think of this combinations? Do you like it?
