BARCELONA BOUND. ANY TIPS?

Hello friends, do you know that one of my new years resolutions will come true next week? My goal is to travel more often this year. Like every year. And as the hubby has it's birthday next week we will travel to Barcelona for a short break. Oh I'm looking forward to this city again. I know a lot of places but it's been 3 years now that I've visited this vibrant city. Do you know some awesome places in this Catalan city? Please share your tips with me!  It's always a pleasure to hear your experiences and secret places. Thanks so much!

Today I'm impressed by this Gothic Quarter Apartment located in the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. I love the use of contemporary materials and modern furniture. Q WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Good Morning! Welcome to the new week. What are your plans? I have a busy schedule ahead but I love it! Today I'd love to travel to New York City with you. If you are a frequent reader of my blog you know how much I love this vibrant city. So much to discover, so little time. Browsing the internet I came across this lovely Nu Hotel in Brooklyn. 'Nu' means 'now' in Dutch but I'm not sure if that is what it's meant to be;-) Anyway I love this clean and comfortable place with lovely industrial details and a fresh and contemporary look.

Good morning friends! An early bird catches the worm. I woke up early today so I have some extra time to share new hotspots with you. Today I want to take you to New York City. It's one of my favourite hotspots in the world and I prefer to go back every year if possible. This year I'm planning a visit in May for Blogfest 2012 In my search for a unique place to stay I came across this unique designer apartment via airbnb. It's a wonderful source of unique places across the globe where you can stay in someone elses house or apartment. I especially like the idea to meet new people and get to know the destination more personal via this lovely portal. I'm also thinking about the possibility to offer my own apartment on this site one day.

Todays inspiration comes from a warm winter home in Masachusets. This house with a view was designed by Cambridge based studio Maryann Thompson Architects. It is located in Great Barrington in Berkshire County. I love the simplicity and the use of natural wood. And look about the neighbourhoud. Isn't that what we all want in winter time? PS. In Holland it's raining cats and dogs these days...
