LAMA Design

Summer is always a good time to plan a good party with your friends and loved ones. We are having a party in June. The theme is: Bubbles 'n Bites. In my search for original decoration I found the website of LAMA Designs

Each beautifully designed original pattern is the creative work of designer Pablo Ferraro. Committed to creating environmentally friendly products, Pablo uses 100% cotton that has not been bleached or treated with toxins harmful to the environment. In Pablo's words, "All our designs are handprinted and we work on a small scale to manage a local, environmental and socially responsible company." Fabulous, fun, festive and earth-friendly. It doesn't get much better than that!

Lazy Sunday

Ooh, I love this! I have a lazy Sunday today. No appointments and nobody home. What a treat!

This morning the sun was shining here in the city of Rotterdam. I took advantage of it by cleaning my balcony so I'm almost ready for summer!

PS. Love those images with the roofs playing with the styling of these images.

Home Office part II

I'm dreaming of a home office like this. Next week I will start with the restyling of my home office. I think this image shows the essence. Simple, light and organized.

And this is the creative office of Orly Kiely. Different style, but also great inpspiration. Later this week I will show you my office now and walk you through my restyling ideas.

Last week I posted on some other beautiful home offices. Read more here.

Easter, easter, easter

Oh my dears, we are lucky here in Holland with another day off. They call it second Easter day. I'm so happy! We have a lovely weekend. My fiance and I went to the Boymans van Beuningen museum yesterday here in the city of Rotterdam and after that we had a wonderful diner at the recently opened Harbour Club in the park. We had a wonderful fish dish with a good bottle of Moet Rose Champagne.  Every day is a day to celebrate life and love:-)

PS. Love the turqoise shutters above. It feels like summer already:-)

Travel update: Madrid

My dears! Many of you asked me for an update and images from our trip to Madrid last weekend. My mother and I had a lovely long weekend together and I'm so happy to share the first images and stories with you.
The wonderful gardens of Parque del Buon Retiro are as enjoyable any you'll find in any other European city. Littered with marble monuments, landscaped lawns, ocasional elegant buildings and a romantic lake
Whenever the wheater is fine Madrilenos will from all across the city gather here to stroll. And look the sun is unveiling the first green leaves in the trees.

Palacio Real
The parks in Madrid are already for of beautiful yellow Narcices:-)

Back home

My sweeties I'm back from Madrid! Unfortunately I was not able to blogpost every day in the meantime. However I hope you have enjoyed reading so far. Madrid was awesome! I did some good shopping: 2 pairs of zapateros (shoes), a new summer jacket and of course some lovely skirts from the Garden Collection of H&M on which I posted earlier here. Later this week I will drop some images here to give you an impression of our trip. Coming home it's always a good time to think about a new travel destination. Looking at these images from Nicolas Millet I'm pretty sure I would love to go to the Bahamas very soon. What do you think?

Imagine to have such a colourful house with seaview...

Later this week I will surprise you with a lovely guest post from Carole. She has been traveling to Krakow in Poland and I'm sure she will surprise you with some lovely images and travel tips. Please visit her blog here
